D-55 question

A friend is wanting a D55, and is going to look at one soon. Just wonder what year and factory they added the MOP around the soundhole.

I think the ring of abalone was added to the center of the rosette sometime around 1998. The rosette (still with abalone) changed with regard to the number of plies around 2009.

Close, but think it was introduced coincidental with move to black pickguards ca '94, as seen here:

Yes, I believe '93 was the final year without the abalone rosette for the top shelf Westerly models (D55, JF55, JF65, etc.).
