Hi,
Anybody know where I can get a 5-PLY HARDSHELL CASE, that would be specifically made to fit the ArchBack Guild D-25M.
Like a Guild, Geib, Tkl...etc.

Any and all info appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

Thanks Chris,
I tried the D25M in my Martin TKL Geib 545E Case, and it seemed to put some pressure on the top in the last 1/2" to 1/4" of closing the lid. Not a lot...but enough to concern me. The D25M is Vintage 1977. Same thing with my Collings TKL Cases.

Do you think those are a different size from the standard TKL Professional?
Did yours put pressure on the top of the Guitar when you close at all?

Thanks for your help and input. Let me know.

Best,
Michael

FYI- Dennis at Cedar Creek Cases is working me up and estimate right now...he owns a D25M Arch Back and I am waiting to hear from him...but it may not be very cost effective to have a Custom Case build. We'll See what he comes up with.

Here's the case:

I didn't have any fit issues and that guitar and as my "live" instrument, that guitar/case spent a lot of time in the back of cars/vans without any negative consequences.

It does appear to be a structurally different case than the Geib style case, but without actually trying it out, who can say?

This is the kind of stuff that drives me crazy!

My arched back D-25 and G-37 fit in this TKL case.

Cheaper, but not an arched top.... They actually fit a little loosely. But, good enough for the little bit of traveling I do with that case (mostly just to the luthiers and back; I have an arched-top TKL that fits any my dreads when I want to really pack securely, as well as a newer model SKB molded case that my D-46 came with).

If you are looking at TKL cases (or some other brands, as well), make sure you get a case that is long enough. That Guild headstock is longer than typical, and won't fit some cases for 6-string dreads... with TKL, you need the 6/12-string cases.

I ended up going with a 5 Ply Custom Cedar Creek Arch Top/Arch Back Case. Dennis, the Sales Manaager at Cedar Creek Custom Shop, owns a Guild D25M Arch Back, and he is bringing it in to their shop to use as a Template. He said this case will actually be stronger and more protetion than an Arch Top TKL. 6 to 8 weeks out for fabrication and delivery. 235.00 + Shipping, but it is worth it to me, to protect my new piece of Guild D25M Vintage History!

Here are the Specifications:
American Vintage Series® Arch-Top / Arch-Back
Custom designed using an additional Arch-Back structure.
AVS Series? cases include the following features:

5-Ply, Hand-Laminated Wood Shell
Arch-Top & Arch-Back Reinforcement System?
Top-Grade Durahyde? Covering
Providence Forge? Steel-Plated Hardware
Genuine Leather, Comfort-Grip? Handle
Thickly-Padded, Cabernet Smooth Velvet Interior
Spacious Accessory Compartment & Head Stock Area
Dual Neck Support System?
Custom Options
24/7 Protection?

Mine will actually have the Smooth Velvet Cabernet Color Interior.
