Calling it a "power" plant might be a bit of a reach, no?
After all, doesn't "deux chevaux" mean "two horse (power)" in French?
Don't be mean Sandy.
Yes "Deux Cheveaux" means 2 horse power, but it's 2 "fiscal H.P." (France's registration costs and insurance rates are different depending on the "fiscal power" of your vehicle, determined after the real H.P. ratio but don't ask me how :? .) And 2 fiscal HP is as low as it gets.... remember, this vehicle was conceived as the cheapest and most reliable means of transportation possible, for the broke people of France at the end of WWII.
But come on! That thing has 45 REAL horse power!!!!
Impressed yet?

I think my Cuisinart Blender has 45 HP! And, I bet you get, like, 50 mpg. Kewl AND economical. 8) Pardon the old phrase, a win-win! ;)

P.S. The Florida sun (as most Southern states) bakes the color out of everything.   :D

Now that you mention it... it does sound a bit like a sewing machine.

Ah.... finally someone with a positive comment!
Yep, that is the biggest nose thumbing to oil companies one can do without an electric car.
I go for a fill up about every other month (it might be once a month if I were to use it daily) and I put more gas in the 5 gallon can I bring along for the mower/weed wacker than in the car! (The tank is barely 4 gallons).

Pascal,

Glad you and CJ had a bit of time together doing some really kewl stuff ( 8) ) Little things.......ah, yep.

All I can say about your fun little old(er) car is - it, certainly, is French blue, oui? ;) Is it a take-off on the VW Bus? I see the camper extension on the back (did you buy it here or ship it over?). As a foreign (PC = non-USA) vintage car enthusiast, my leaning is towards TR6s/Spitfires, 911s, and XK-Es. Vroooommmm! ;)

....and here I thought I had a cool ride....with all of 95 hp too.....! Steffan

It doesn't have air conditioning.....but otherwise well equipped......
Neither does mine... although the motor could certainly power an A/C compressor.... but then I would need another motor to move the car.
