Bigsby on Starfire VI 1979

Hello all
Im trying to find a gold bigsby for my 1979 Starfire VI as it was removed prior to me owning it . Any ideas?

Are you sure it was removed? Not all SFVIs came with a Bigsby.

Unfortunately, spare Guildsby's are hard to find and expensive when they pop up on eBay or Reverb, especially in gold. From the drill holes, the variation fitted to your Starfire was most likely the Guild version of the Bigsby B7 with the string tension bar, often called a Guildsby B9.

For a vintage original, you might try contacting Hans Moust via email to see if he has one. If he doesn't have one, you can also try Ken Nash.

You can also pick up a Newark St. version (Korean reiusse) from the Guild Guitar website shop. I think these are direct replacements and should fit without any modifications.
