Bastards of Middle Age? The Replacements to reunite

Those influencial Minneapolis punks, The Replacements are reuniting to do a few shows. Drummer Chris Mars will not be part of the reunion, so it'll be singer/guitarist Paul Westerberg, bassist Tommy Stinson and some replacement Replacements.

I wonder who will play lead guitar? I'm often a bit wary of these reunions as they can tarnish the legend. On the other hand the individuals are often better musicians later in life & the band more consistent due to, ahem, a more "stable" lifestyle than in their heyday.

I'd go see them I reckon, just to hear those songs.

I really enjoyed Westerberg's solo stuff, too. It will be interesting to see how this reunion works out.

Some friends and I went to see their last show in Chicago back in '91. We'd heard it was going to be their last. Heck if I knew they'd get back together again I might not have made the drive!
