I have to admit, outside of the LTG, I do spend time following news/rumors/stories of my favorite sport to watch, NFL.
My team is the Patriots of course, but I been watching this Rodgers to the Jets saga and interested in it happening.
I would like to see him go there and play the Pats twice a year.

I didn't know there was a saga but now that I know I don't really care. I know Aaron Rogers made insurance commercials but I guess I'm not enough of a NFL fan to know why he matters :)

(Of course when the local NFL team cam be abbreviated as WC and thus is the target of water closet or in the toilet jokes NFL fandom has a pretty low bar in these parts).

Rogers's personality seems to result in the offensive line eventually saying to the opponents defensive line, "The guy you're looking for is right behind me, holding the ball. Here, let me get out of your way."

lol.

I just happen to be a long-suffering, "hapless" Jet fan.

I actually enjoyed watching games for the first time in several years this past season because they won some and were competitive in most of the games they lost. Hey, give me some credit here, being a fan of a team who's strong suit is finding ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory is no easy task.

They have had no luck whatsoever spending their hard earned low draft picks on the top college quarterbacks in the past decade or more. They somehow find a way to ruin any chance the poor kid ever had of success in the NFL. Who knows maybe A. Rogers and the Jets will be a good fit? Hope springs eternal.

He’d be a great fit. They will be very competitive. Strong defense. Rodgers will have better receivers than in Green Bay.

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. I've always been a Packer fan, always have been and always will be. That being said, I'm ready for A Rod to either move on or retire and for the Pack to rebuild yet again. I just get tired of the theatrics. Give me a QB like the Bill's Josh Allen anyday. He is real.

Pats fan here too. If Rodgers goes to the Jets and can play up to his standards (thumb questions) I think the Pats are looking at a couple years in the basement of the AFC East.

We had a great run...I think Mac Jones can turn it around. We need to bolster the O Line and add a #1 receiver.

Coaching staff and style need a radical makeover too.
BB still thinks he is god of football, and needs to get real.

LOL! If you are expecting Bill B. and Mac Jones to save the day, good luck!

The football gods shined down on New England when Brady was drafted. Something like that is unlikely to happen again. We have been so spoiled for so long, I find it painful to watch now, and actually don't watch much any more.

Go Bruins!

He has always been flexible and he no longer is. You can’t build a modern championship team around running the ball and defense. Not like he used to. Look at this year’s Super Bowl. One punt. It was like watching two teams go fast break to pull up jumpers, and the last team with the ball won. I don’t think that pass interference call at the end played into it. I like old school football but you can’t win with that in this league.

I agree.
It is bearable to watch if you are in it for the humorous pratfalls.

Exactly.
You can win games with an old school style, but only if you have exceptional players, which the Pats did, but no longer do.
And then BB and his receiver picks--WTH?
I mean N'Keal Harry--it took three seasons for BB to let him go?
When he was a bust from day one?
Seriously?
