D40C's were florentine cutaways, but I can understand why the Chesterfield'd throw you off:

Actually, that guitar in Doug/Mav's pic's got a GAD-style 'guard, and I realize now it's a much more recent pic than I thought at first.

Looks like a GAD 40 or 50 CE to me. Look at the inlays and lack of a TRC.

Correct, GAD model, see also the fretboard inlays. GAD40CE I'd say.
