Well, somebody got a project to work on for the next several months.
My '72 G37 had the headstock break clean off in 1992. Was repaired by a Guild warranty station guitar shop in Ann Arbor, MI. It' held all this time very well although in the last few years it has shown a bit of separation, I wish they had doweled it in the fix, but it plays well to this day, maybe because I use a 0.010 high E string set on it. Who knows?
