Howdy -

Just thought everyone here might like to know who purchased Chris' F15ce - it’s me! :)

I have been searching for this specific guitar for 16 years. I joined this forum in 2009 and sought vigilantly for a few years. Then, I decided it would never come to pass, bought a DCE-1 and figured I'd just have to live with a ghost.

Last night I randomly came across a listing on Reverb and bought it immediately. Then I thought of all of you, and visited the forum for the first time in years and was so pleased to discover it’s been with this community all this time. Wanted you to know it will remain in the fold.

I live in Austin, TX and play every day. A long quest, but I feel like I've found my grail - and my DCE-1 is anxiously awaiting its stablemate ;-)

Thanks Chris, and positive waves to all!

Cordially,
Logan

Hey, Logan, congrats!! That's a super cool model and I'm glad it's staying with an LTG'er! Thanks for the report of the sale, and play it in good health!! (y)(y)

I think it’s going to where it needs to be. Glad for it to stay in the family and I hope it brings you lots of good times.
Now I just need to get to store to get some more packing tape so the shipping label will stay on, and then drop it off at the UPS service provider (O’Dell Hardware, in my case.) And then worry until it arrives safely.

I was all set to get it dropped off this morning when I checked the tracking on my StewMac order. I found myself out of their guitar shipping cushions and ordered them Monday, but didn’t know if they’d get here on time. (Normally I’d go to StewMac in person, but since the pandemic they don’t do pickups any more.)
I had it all packed up using various old school materials, but I gambled when I saw it was out for delivery. So I unpacked all my packing and waited.
Luckily, the postman got here at 12:30 and I got them pumped up and sealed up and down to the access point well before the UPS driver would get there.

I really do like the StewMac system, the cushions are so much more heavy duty. And reusable!

Yep, I agree. They keep the guitar case "floating" inside the box -- that is, none of the sides touch the box -- and they're feather light.

I’m surprised how speedily this is moving through the system. I dropped it off at my local CVS (SE Ohio) yesterday afternoon for UPS ground to collect sometime after 3. It’s already arrived in Mesquite, TX on track for an Austin delivery tomorrow.

I appreciate the care taken in packaging, Chris, and I’m as surprised as you that it made it to Texas so quickly. Looks like it will be delivered today and I’ll take your advice to let it sit for 24hrs. and acclimate from wintry travel before unpacking.

And thanks to all for the positive waves ;-)

This is a really beautiful group of wonderful and kind and knowledgeable (and talented) folks. ☀️
