The best cure for cabin fever has always been, simply, to get out of the cabin....and treat yourself to a walk.

Dress appropriately, and the walk is usually its own reward.
Of course, the potential for other rewards is often a factor in the decision to brave the cold and wet of the early morning.

Great "neighbourhood", Joe! :D

I can imagine how relaxing, inspiring and joyful a walk around there can be... Thanks for sharing! :D

A hug & All the best,

just beautiful Joe. Do you think they are husband/wife , or two buds just hanging out
My first thought would be siblings. They're both juveniles.

Joe

Juvenile siblings......I wonder how many years of life are in store for them. What's the life span of owls Joe?

Snowy Owls in the wild, 9-10 years, all things considered.

Nine to ten years.....a mere blink of an eye. Some tortoises live to 250 years, I'll never understand Mother Nature's lifespan lottery.

Tough duty living up there on the tundra, compared to the tropics. But then, it's apples and oranges....or Martins and Guilds.
Comparisons don't work when Mother makes the rules.

Beautiful stuff, Joe! It would be interesting to have a LTGer walk photo thread, where the object would be for any LTGer to take a walk in their area, snap a couple shots of whatever captures his/her eye, and post em. We'd probably end up with a really cool world-wide view of the outdoors, country and urban alike

Good/fun idea! :D
I guess the only stipulation should be that it has to be on a walk, say no more than a mile from where you live; maybe 2 pics per post?
