In this clip Kottke appears to have used an early form of duct tape, or something, to avoid the hole chewing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Gh-U9T7 ... re=related .
Hi Charlie; he's got something on there ... oddly decorated with 'GY(?)' at the top and 'GC' at the bottom ... early plug for Guitar Center  but they do look like booties of some kind ... maybe damp any tendency for the p/u to vibrate?

...Lightning, Elmore and Leo all look to be playing different versions of the 210 in those pictures.
Elmore's is in upside down. Leo's got the later version with screw adlust polepieces. Yeah I don't think back in those days that anybody would suspect in the future -our "information age" - we'd be so anal about accuracy of ad copy. Does Guild, now? I mean the 2010 Winter catalog ain't bad, but does FMIC ever update the website?
I guess the DeA literate assumed that the user would know up from down ... in this model, makes a considerable difference ... the FMIC website is currently being thrashed - justifiably - in another thread.

Nope. FMIC.
Remember DeArmond guitars, with Dearmond pu's?

Or the Gretsches now sporting DeArmond?
FMIC owns Gretsch too. And Bigsby.

And almost everybody else Gibson doesn't.

Only when absolutely unavoidable. Topic chewed to death, here, within the last week....reading between the lines does this mean I might actually find the new catalog at the Showcase?
Being a guy, I hate shopping just for shopping's sake. I need an excuse to go down there.

With a corporation like that, I could, dare I say it?: RULE THE WORLD!
BTW 10 brownie points for the first person to name the movie I ripped that from. :D
No help from the sidelines please.

Actually, Gretsch owns Gretsch, FMIC has the distribution rights and manufactures them under license from Gretsch.

eBay auction for a Gibson L30 and a DeA pickup This one: similar to #FHC-B pictured earlier but the body of the p/u a little different:

DeApu.jpg

Auction also includes cool old National amp ... check right-most tube with anode cap ... auction says all the stuff - (including p/u - is pre-war.
