'82 Starfire 4 without pickup covers or pick guard

The XR-7 pickup has 12 adjustable polepieces.

I did not notice they have two rows of pole pieces. Yeah, that would present a problem with installing covers.

Hey all, just back from a business trip. Thanks to everyone for the Starfire pickup info and the much needed computer lessons! I think these XR-7's may be too hot for the warm bluesy humbucker sound I'm looking for so I think I'm going to pass on this guitar and keep looking. If anyone is interested though, this Guild is for sale on Craig's list in Spokane, Washington for $1,200.
