This guy won this guitar on ebay for $1189 on ebay a while back. $1189 is a fair price for this guitar, but his asking price of $1599 is ridiculous, which is why it has been relisted 5 times now and not sold. Pete O Peterson is a notorious guitar flipper who wins a guitar at market price and tries to sell it for a 35% markup afterwards.

me too because he beat me out for this guitar by one bid, then messaged me to buy my SFII for only $650 on a "quick sale"...then when I told him no and mentioned that he beat me out for the Bluesbird he offered to do me a solid and sell it to me for $1300. What a nice guy. he is the kind of seller that you know going into it you'll never get an even deal with, he will always get the better end of the deal

Hey Mojo, Pete O Peterson is also listing a SF-2 for $1199 and it looks pretty clean. It is a 1997 which, if I am correct, is before Fender messed with the Guild HB-1's. I have seen SF-2's go for under $1000 which is why I have held off. Any history on that guitar in ebay? Thanks!

He also has a SF-4 that I'm interested in :)
Anyone else have positive/negative experiences?

Thanks.

I would never buy anything from him just because he outbid me last minute on the M75 Bluesbird that just sold then tried to sell it to me for more than he paid while offering me only $650 for my SFII. Just out of principle he wont get any business from me. I see someone ended up giving him his asking price of $1599 for the Bbird after it was listed 4 times with no buyers. Hope they enjoy it though. Other than that I have no experiences with this seller other than seeing his Guild inventory and how every one of them is usually overpriced...thus why they have all be relisted up to a dozen times with no buyer.

Also, after selling who knows how many hundreds of Guilds on ebay, he still seems to have no idea how to use a digital camera.

This one is my favorite listing of his! The display pic makes you think he is selling pristine acreage in California for $1299.

THEN

we have the same guitar with the same exact pictures, once being listed as a vintage X170 and then again as a "gUILD X500 VINT5AGE 70'S"
