I've been out of work for a while, so have had to sell some gear. I had my '98 Bluesbird and '68 Starfire IV on consignment at a store. Received a call yesterday that the Starfire had sold. Was a bit sad about that, but with debts mounting at an alarming rate and no job offers on the table, I had no choice. Then today I got a job offer! Very happy about that but if it had come 24 hours earlier I would have taken the SF off the market. Darn!
The long process of scouring the market for an early Starfire IV will have to start all over again, but at least I will be employed and able to afford it.
24 hours...

Sorry about the SFIV (fates a fickle mistress & all that) but congratulations on the job - in the long run that's more of a positive than losing the SFIV is a negative, as I 'm sure you know. At least you've still got the S-100 & things are looking up for more Guilds in the future!

Good luck in the new position & glad things are looking up for you.

Another one of those "good news - bad news" things. Sorry you lost the guitar, but maybe you can find another one again.

Good luck in your new job!

Hey Fearless,

Same situation here, but no job offers yet. Isnt it amazing how quickly the bills mount up ?

Cheers, Ian

It's a shocker isn't it? My credit card balances are truly scary and it will take me at least a year to pay them off.
I see you're in Nelson - a great part of the world. My great great grandfather was one of the first settlers there in 1841.
Good luck with the job searching. It can be depressing but persistence pays off in the end.

That's a bugger Skip and you have my whole-hearted sympathy.

I have a black, '85 SF4 here which doesn't get much play time which I've pondered selling. We've never really bonded because of the narrow nut width and shallow neck.

Any interest ? Not saying I WILL sell !

Maybe! One of the things I really liked about the SF-IV was the mini-HB1s and I've got the bigger HB-1s in my S-100. Prudence tells me I should settle in to the new job and reduce my credit card debt first, but prudence does not always win! And GAS tells me to try and find another early model with mini-HB1s. But I'd still be interested in pics and approx price. I know a local bloke with an 80s Starfire - i could hit him up to let me play it for a bit so I can see how I feel about the later HB-1s.
Love the build your own amp project, btw. Not something I have time for at the moment but am following the thread with interest.

I'll PM some pic's over the weekend. Haven't actually given price any thought.
