So, did you want a 1961 or a 1965?

These were both sold to me as Starfire III models, but the 1961 appears to have been born a Starfire II and was probably transitioned to a III by a dealer. @hansmoust pointed out to me that the label's "III" has a mix of blue and black inks:

They're exceedingly rare here in Australia. In my 50 years of playing and working in music shops and bands I've only ever seen 4.
My stepfather had his 64 SF 3 from new. I knew of a black on as a teenager and I bought a mint red 65 SF 3 about 2 years ago.
One other beat up sunburst was for sale in a shop recently too. Thats it. Only 4 in 50 years. Good luck. Most under rated and under valued vintage guitars out there.
