That is a nice X550 also Jeff. It's very similar to the X440 but with binding on the headstock, the 3 piece inlays and more layers of binding on the body. It has all the same setup as my X440 except the harp tailpiece. But I thought guild was using a harp tail by '55. The finish looks exactly the same.

I took the X440 today for a fret job. The frets are very low and absolutely flat. It will play like a dream after that. I am also thinking very hard about a Guild logo bigsby. I have a NOS bisgby and bridge from the early 60s that I would install. The holes on the bottom may not line up but there are no screws at all on the top. The original bridge and tail could be reinstalled if I ever decided to sell. Which at this point anyway, is unlikely.
