But widths all 1-5/8”, I’m surprised by that.I still have this catalog, which iirc was from 1980. It was the first time I’d come across the F-20 or F-30 in an arched-back version:

My '94 "prototype" was definitely 1 11/16". Got out the calipers for that.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm so into F20s these days that I have a short-scale solid back M40, a short-scale arched back M240, and therefore, a long-scale F20 with an arched back seems more and more enticing.
I loved mine! It has such a great punchy sound. Never should have sold it. I bought it in basically unplayed condition.

Yes, I believe there were some vintage Gibsons, LG models, maybe: where they'd had similarly skinny nuts & necks. Was it the '60s? I'm not entirely certain, or sure. Just to add, or say that, others might have had the same idea at one point & time, or another. . .

Wow, I've never even heard of those before (F-20's being made in the '90s)? But I guess if they'd reissued the M-20, for a short time, then it definitely makes sense! Would love to get my hands on one of those...
