I bow and scrape to the software QA engineers of the tech trade. I had my occasional run-ins with some of them about things over the years. But the truth is that the quality of products I worked on went down big time when my (ex-) company laid off the QA engineers and decided that scrum techniques with software engineers were the way forward. That was a big mistake.

The company I work for employs thousands of developers and we do not have a QA department. One of our founders (sort of - it’s complicated) designed a different paradigm and it’s kind of amazing. He also developed an automated testing system that removed the necessity for regression testing and as a result something like 98% of bugs are fixed before the product ships. I’ve never seen anything like it and it’s one of the big reasons why we’re so successful.

1. Would that work?
2. Would it work safely?
The last one - MIDI/toothpicks? Sure, I guess it would work, and there's no high voltages. Looks like he's using Ethernet cable with the ends clipped off.

I need some MIDI IN toothpicks in my house. I don't know why, but I just do.

We won't discuss what I would use for the MIDI OUT.
