I don't use those on my dreads (the bluegrass gauge) but on my smaller guitars I do and they really make a nice difference! Maybe I'll try them on the DV-72 but then it really doesn't need the help so why put the strain on it? I use the coated D'Addario's EXP-14's which are the 80/20 bronze.

DR is a very unresponsive strings company and I've ordered two sets of them and found a repetitive error in the wound G string that happened once, so I bought another and found the SAME identical problem and photographed them and sent them photos and the strings and asked if they'd at least replace the string and no response. Should've gone to my vendor but by then I was totally done with DR and never bought them again. So that's my DR experience. I hope they got their shit together...... how much effort should I put into getting a string right and how easy is it for them to just replace A string and make a customer happy? Done wiv them....

I am not a fan of DR strings. I like Ernie Ball, John Pearse, D'addario, and GHS (with the GHS strings (at one time Signature Bronze, now Americana series) being favourites. I love the tone, and they seem to last longer, although their tension seems somewhat higher.
