hey everybody, I havnt been around the forum too much lately, life had just gotten in the way...and had stopped posting photos a while back when i was still active...anyway first i just want to thank GAD so much for his time, knowledge and work. I certainly appreciate all of this and owe a forthcoming donation to this next phase of LTG.

I have some photos to catch up on!!

lets start with the craigslist score to end all craigslist scores, a full Brazilian rosewood F-312 with INSANE figuring in the rosewood back. the sides and even spruce top have figuring as well. the back is just dreamy as the hue of the wood changes in the knot/figured areas as it moves. i have never seen another one like this. it also has a 2 inch wide nut and fret board...and the board is dead flat. have u played a 20-inch radius board? this one might be 20,000.
hope to get more/better pics soon, really just trying to show that figured back as best i can. kinda need to see it in the flesh.

THANK YOU Tom Jacobs for restoring this piece. The neck and head were clean on this, but the body was a train wreck, before he fixed it.

Glad your are back and what a GREAT score - 312!! And another marvelous restoration and save by Tom Jacobs. The Florida Marlins need him in their bullpen. He would lead the Majors in "Saves."

Very, very nice!

I just bought Rich Cohen's F312 (formerly RichardP69's). Like yours, Rich's is gorgeous, and like yours -- it needs some work! It has a few uncleated cracks, some bridge lift, and the headstock overlay is coming up, but everything appears to me to be fully reparable.

Very excited, as this is an elusive model, as we all know.

(BTW, mine is serial number 45936.)

I just sold my '65 F-312 to Glenn (Wileypickett), which I had gotten from Rich Peterson. Yes, the figuration on the back and sides is impressive, and the sound is, shall we say, very satisfying. There's nothing like a '60's Guild braz machine!

Richard Peterson owned TWO of these and when I dropped mine off w Jacobs, I saw one of Richards there at the shop- it had been mostly repaired by that point. I remember the pics of that guitar from when Richard first got it, and could not believe it was the same instrument. Jacobs is literally a genius and basically a magician. i don't know which of the 2 Peterson kept, and which one sold to Cohen/WP...but man that one w the refinished top at Jacobs' was absolutely stunning!!

mine needed the back and sides refinished after he took it off to access the guts, and the og finish on the back chipped off, and also after installing new back binding. ive always loved Jacobs' refinish work which is the equivalent of those super glossy Westerly jobs. it is cool to compare his finish on the back and sides to the og Hoboken finish on the neck. the sides look unreal as well, more glossy like the back after Tom cleaned it up. the guitar was not played for decades just sat tuned up, and dried out like kindling.

again this one has a 2-inch nut! and absolutley flat fret board. i like them flat, but this is flat like a wood floor in your house. the nut i can play with some adjustments (and sacrifices)...her fretboard flatness though, would take some getting used to for sure.

it has case candy too
