Did you know that there is a serious shortage of available puppies, as well as bicycles in the US? A friend of mine who owns a bike store in C'ville has had his best sales in the last 3 months, March, April and May, outdoing each other -- sales up 80%. First customers bought the cheaper bikes. Now that they're gone, they buying the expensive one, $2,000 and up. Some businesses are seeing great sales. Puppies are going for 2 - 7 thousand dollars.

Thank goodness for guitars!! Nooo poop bags when you play nor Vet bills to pay.
Admittedly, lots of companionship and company from pets, however.

My step-son just took home a bordoodle (border collie cross with a miniature poodle), all black except for a smidgen of white on his back right toe. His hair is quite unique. He's 11 weeks old and weighs 13 lbs. He's named him "Rustom" after the hero of the Persian national epic "Shahnameh." Except for his pink tongue and white teeth, he's jet black, with a slight bluish tinge. Some black hues do appear bluish. The Hindu deity, Krishna, who is an avatar of the creator of the universe, Vishnu, is black skinned, but often painted in blue color too. In about a month, our step-son will leave C'ville for his home in LA, with Rustom. We'll miss them both.

Hmmm... might be a good time to sell some of my kids' bikes (that they don't want any more).

Bike sales have been going through the roof but that actually started while you were in India. It is a "healthy" activity that can be done w=even with social distancing.

Don't know about puppy prices. Most of the articles I see talk about the rise in shelter foster and adoptions and express concern that as soon as people start leaving home many of those dogs will end up back in shelters.

What gets me is the yeast shortage. It makes sense that people would start trying to make bread (or brew beer) but I have no good explanation for why the supply chain has not adjusted yet.

Home fitness equipment, especially free weights, are selling for a premium right now as well.

As long as I can keep getting my boutique coffee beans delivered, I'll be OK. Well, as OK as I get... Ooh there's some in the mailbox now!

Yeah, coffee! Now you can stay awake and get through that review pile that's been growing. ;)
