I was just seeing if I could get a reaction out of you Al
I knew that...I just wasn't gonna bite because...I was pretty sure you didn't know that the second Acid Test was precipitated by anticipation of getting the Stones to show up
at the test...
I know the Dead Bus when I see it even though that was a Generation before me.
Also, that's not "the Dead bus" and no Deadhead worth their, uh,
salt would think of it that way even though there's an intimate connection between Kesey's Pranksters and the Dead.
It's
Kesey's bus.
The
original tour bus, at least in the sense we think of it today as a painted party on wheels.
In the "Tales From The Tour Bus" episode for Billy Joe Shaver I was referring to earlier Billy Joe was supposed to play a show with the Dead. He said he showed up to play and he was a day late as the gig was the previous night. As he started to walk back towards his truck the Dead's Manager was still there and said, Hey Billy, The Dead left you a present." He proceeded to dig around in his bag and then handed Billy Joe a full roll of toilet paper. Billy Joe thought he was making a joke at his expense about missing the gig and the manager said, "Hold On, on every sheet of this roll of toilet paper is a hit of acid courtesy of Cassady for you personally." He said OK and ate a sheet of toilet paper standing next to his truck in the parking lot. He woke up the next day laying on the asphalt next to his truck in the same parking lot after tripping all night. Said he thought he was Jesus. That is when he discovered the spider that OD'ed after biting him several times, LOL.

Right, I got that and was gratified to learn that certain traditions are being carried on even in outlaw country.
Only makes sense, Garcia having been a big Merle Haggard fan.. :friendly_wink:.
Only thing I really gotta wonder is if it was the LSD or NO-Doz that
really did in the spider:
